Garbage Disposal
MCST reserves the rights to impose a levy on any residents who are caught for indiscriminate dumping or throwing of rubbish in the estate.
HOME RUBBISH HOPPER: Our cleaners have to manually pick up every item at the bottom of the rubbish chute, and transfer them to a bulk bin in order to carry them out for disposal. For the health and safety of our cleaners, kindly ensure that
• ALL RUBBISH ARE PROPERLY BAGGED
• ALL FOOD WASTE MUST BE PROPERLY BAGGED
LOBBY LITTER BINS: The lobby bins are meant for small litters. For the sake of health and to preserve a pleasant environment at our communal space, please do not place rubbish (especially food waste) on the bin or at the bin.
• ALL RUBBISH MUST BE PROPERLY DISPOSED INTO THE LOBBY LITTER BIN.
• NO DUMPING IS ALLOWED AT THE LIFT LOBBY
YELLOW BOX: The Yellow Box area at the basement lobby is created for the convenience of residents to dispose recycle or bulk waste (waste which are unable to fit into your home rubbish hopper). As a guide, the size of item disposed at Yellow Box must be able to fit into the blue recycle bin at the substation, or the green bulk bin at the entrance of the estate. However, we strongly encouraged residents to help our cleaners by bringing your recycle or bulk waste directly to the blue recycle bin located at the substation or to the green bulk bin located at the entrance of the estate. At the Yellow Box,
• NO FOOD WASTE ARE ALLOWED
• NO BULKY OR HUGE OR HEAVY ITEMS SUCH AS FURNITURES, HOME APPLIANCES (EG. WASHING MACHINE, EXERCISE MACHINES ETC) ARE ALLOWED.
DISPOSAL OF BULKY ITEMS: It is the responsibility of residents to make your own private arrangement for the disposal of bulky or huge or heavy items. However should you need any assistance to dispose of your bulky or heavy items, kindly contact the MA Office.
All rubbish for disposal must fall within in the category of waste as defined by our waste disposal company. All residents must follow the rules for waste disposal as described in the above.
